VSI rotors are used in a variety of industries and processes. Our solutions contribute to more efficient production, lower costs and higher quality in cement, mineral extraction and recycling. Over the past 5 years, SCP has completed nearly 100 installations where existing VSIs, regardless of brand, have been upgraded with our new generation of multiport rotors.
Techroq rotors typically reduce the filler content, i.e. material below 0.074 mm, in the crushed 0-4 product compared to conventional 3-port rotors.
We have reference cases where cement use has decreased by about €2 per cubic meter of concrete.
The multiport rotor is ideal when you want to maximize the production of aggregates (products 4-16 mm) from a crushed and cubizised 0-16 product.
Increasing the production of these fractions, which are often in short supply, reduces the need to process more tons of material, leading to further energy savings.

Materials and construction
The rotor wear parts are made of special alloy steel to achieve optimal service life. Balance adjustment and tolerances are individually controlled to achieve maximum efficiency.

Steel in a variety of grades is used to achieve the best operating economy, serviceability and performance. A special carbide alloy is used in the most exposed areas to ensure a long service life.
More ports allow the speed to be reduced while maintaining capacity – lower speed means lower energy consumption, less wear and tear and less zero material.
As well as extending the life of the wear parts, the modular design of the rotor means that maintenance is quick and easy. Many operations that otherwise require the rotor to be lifted out can be carried out in the machine, which saves time and is safer.
