Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Rockbox and Anvil crushing
The crusher has a standard design with a so-called Rock box where the crushing is done in the traditional way with the stones thrown out against a bed of already crushed stone. This procedure is particularly suitable for cubization and provides a very good operating economy as no Anvils (counter steel) are needed.
Crushing against anvils/bedding provides maximum crushing and is more efficient for controlled crushing of larger materials.
What are the advantages of the VSI crusher in the production of Concrete and Asphalt ?
SCP’s VSI is suitable for the production of cubisized sand with a low filler content. High quality sand reduces the need for water in concrete production and bitumen in asphalt production. In both cases, a high quality sand gives a better and more stable end product.
How can a VSI be integrated into my plant?
SCP supplies the crusher with a PLC control system developed and programmed in Sweden, which is prepared for connection of commonly used equipment before and after the crusher and prepared with industry standard data interface(s).
What mobility solutions are offered for a VSI?
SCP’s VSI’s are so compact that they can be moved with wheel loaders with lifting hooks on the chassis (see picture) and transported on flatbed trailers. Through our partners, we can also produce the crusher with a tracked or wheeled chassis.
